Glioblastomas and Cancer Facts:
Nearly half of the tumors that originate in the brains of adults are a type known as glioblastoma multiforme ~ a fast growing mass of errant cells that aggressively infiltrate surrounding brain tissue. Even with surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy, the cancer is usually fatal within about a year.
17,600 people will be diagnosed with brain tumors this year and 13,200 will die.
Cancer is the number two killer behind heart disease. 560,000 people will die of cancer and 1,382,400 new cases will be diagnosed this year.
Of the primary sites of cancer, brain tumors rank 9th in women and 11th in men.

Our Mission
The Andy Fund is dedicated to preventing, halting the spread of, and finding a cure for glioblastoma multiforme grade IV brain tumors.
Educating as many people as possible about glioblastoma multiforme brain tumors.
Informing the public of research being conducted by the Norris Cotton Cancer Center.
Our Vision
Support from The Andy Fund advances the life-saving efforts of the Norris Cotton Cancer Center's team of researchers dedicated to eliminating such devastating forms of cancer as the glioblastoma multiforme brain tumor through scientific research.
What we have achieved
Through the generosity of so many, nearing our twenty-fourth year, over $389,994 in contributions have been raised for glioblastoma research.
